Appointments are preferred but not essential and each appointment is for one patient only. Please let the receptionist know if you would like to book a long appointment or if you need to book for additional family members. Sometimes delays can occur due to emergencies and other circumstances beyond our control but we do our best to minimize your waiting time.
If you are unable to attend your appointment please call the clinic to cancel so that we can offer that appointment time to another patient.
Hampstead Medical Bulk Bills medical consultations for patients with valid Medicare card. Procedures and the use of medical consumables as part of your treatment will incur a small out of pocket fee.
We have set the out of pocket fees for procedures based on the length of time, complexity of the treatment and supplies and equipment required.
All fees will be discussed by the treating Doctor or one of our team members prior to commencing any procedures.
We accept payment via cash, Eftpos or credit card and an immediate Medicare rebate is accessible through our payment facility. Speak to our friendly team for more information.
Hampstead Medical respects our patient’s confidentiality and the importance of test results, it is our policy not to discuss your test results and give them over the phone.
This means that all patients are required to return to the clinic to discuss their results during a consultation with a Doctor. You will also be required to attend the clinic to obtain any referrals, scripts etc. as part of a consultation with a Doctor.
Our receptionists are not trained to provide such information and will not be taking any requests for any of these items.
Unless it is an emergency, we do not disturb Doctors during consultations with telephone calls. A message can be taken by receptionist and sent to the Doctor electronically for their response. Our team aim to respond to all correspondence within 48 hours.
Hampstead Medical use various forms of communication to deliver information to you, such as: phone calls, letters and electronic means, which include SMS and email. To improve the effectiveness of our systems, please make sure that your contact details are up-to-date. Should you not wish to be contacted, simply inform our friendly team.
